It's time for the Winter Workshop! It's a great way to lift your practice, knowledge and focus to a new level.

Date: August 18 & 19, 2018:
Saturday: 1:00pm – 3:30pm
Sunday: 8:00am – 11:00am & 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Venue: Moore Street Yoga Room: Suite 103, 62 Moore Street, Austinmer.

To observe ourselves from the perspective of the present moment gives us a unique opportunity to shed the weight of the world, to rid ourselves of unhelpful patterns of thoughts, emotions and actions. As BKS Iyengar has said, “The conjunction of effort, concentration and balance in asana forces us to live intensely in the moment, a rare experience in modern life."* To coordinate our physical actions, the flow of our breath, the path of our thoughts, to explore the flow and restraint of these qualites, brings relief from the vicissitudes of daily life and clears a path toward clarity of perception. To experience "the moment", and then to see where that can take us, will be the aim of this weekend workshop ...

Suitable for those with at least 12 months regular practice: students should be reasonably confident in shoulderstand (sarvangasana) and either be doing headstand (sirsasana) or be familier with headstand preparations or suitable alternatives (contact Johnny if you are unsure). More advanced students and teachers will also benefit from this workshop. Included will be Asana (physical postures), Pranayama (breath work) and restorative asanas.
As well as the three sessions above, participants are encouraged to attend the 7:30am, Saturday morning led-practice on August 18 ($10-: proceeds contribute to the upkeep of the Moore Street Yoga Room). Led by Johnny, this practice will complement and lay the foundations for the themes explored during the workshop.
$110- Earlybird Rate (by August 11, after $135-). Numbers are limited so please book with payment, early, to secure your spot. Payment can be made to Johnny in class or by direct bank deposit (email johnny for details)
